While most people may think of a lot of different products when they hear the word “Yamaha”, the company actually began as a piano manufacturer in 1901. Decades later they began to diversify and manufacture everything from engines to tennis racquets to stereo equipment. The familiar Yamaha logo seen on all Yamaha products is actually an arrangement of three tuning forks! Yamaha may not build the BEST jet ski or the best outboard motor or the best amplifier, but they’re usually pretty darn good at everything, including pianos.
